AbstractAlongwiththedevelopmentsocialnetwork,kindsofsocialnetworkingwebsitesappearontheInternet.Peoplebecometousingthesewebsitestorecordtheirlifeandworkmoreandmorefrequently,especiallytheMicroBlog.Howtoextractthepotentialinformationfromthelargescaleofnetworkdataanddisplaytheinformationweareinterestedinbriefly,thusprovidingmorecustomizedservicehasbecomeanimportantresearcharea,namelyinformationvisualization.Informationvisualizationconstructsbriefsocialnetworkgraphanddisplaythegraphusingsomelayoutalgorithms,aimingattodisplaythefeaturesoftopology,societyandsemantics.So,howtochooseanappropriatelayoutalgorithmisanimportantissue.Traditionallayoutalgorithmsusuallyproceedfromthetopologyfeatureandignorethecommunityinformationofthenetwork.Wefirstintroducesomecommonvisualizationtechnology,andthentaketwolayoutalgorithms,singleForce-directedlayoutalgorithmandmultilevellayoutalgorithm,ofnode-linkrepresentationasexample,toanalyzeandfindtheshortcomingsofthesetraditionallayoutalgorithms.Thenweproposeanewsmall-worldbasedmultilevellayoutalgorithmtodealwithsemanticnetworkgraphwithobvioussocialfeature.Themaincontributionsofthispaperareasfollows:Weimprovedtheimplementationofaformermultilevellayoutalgorithmforwechangedthecomputationofedgestrengthofsocialnetworkgraph,thustoreducetheeffectofanunknownparameter.Atthesametime,theimprovementofthealgorithmobtainedabetterresultofgraphpart.Thisalsoplaysaroleofthebaseofthefollowingalgorithm.Accordingtothecharacteristicofsocialnetworkgraph,weproposeanewrefinerlayoutmethod.Weconsiderfromcommunityandedgerelation,andproposetwoobjectfunctiontosatisfythetargetofnewalgorithm.Wesolvetheobjectfunctionusingthegradientdescentmethodcombiningtheformermethodofgraphpartitioning,andthusformthealgorithmofourmultilevelalgorithm.WeproposedanewadaptivetreelayoutalgorithmbasedontheanalysisofMicroBlogInformationVisualization.Ouralgorithmsatisfiedtherequirementofutilizingthelayoutareareasonably,focusingonimportantpeopleandswitchonimportantareas.Wealsodesignedanddevelopeda
