Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) originated in the 1960s, applied it to the rural landscape, can effectively solve such problems. Through POE, the design process and patterns of rural landscape can be standardized, the landscape design quality can be improved, the administrative function can be more scientific, and the awareness of public participation in landscape design can be raised. Firstly, reviewed the achievement of rural landscape and POE at home III and abroad after cleared the background and purpose. Second, it intensively studied the content of the rural landscape and POE. By combining rural landscape with POE, it researched the rural landscape with a new perspective through the method of AHP. It focused on the value of rural landscape especially when research the content of rural landscape. The rural landscape evaluation system which is centered on value is more universal. Research results： Built the Shanghai rural landscape POE system. The evaluation index is based on value system, paid particular emphasis on aesthetics and practice, centered on economic value, social value and ecological value. Proposed the Shanghai rural landscape construction strategies. Then, three typical villages in Shanghai are evaluated by using AHP. Analyzed and summarized by evaluation, we discuss the problems and proposed the construction strategies. This POE research is still in its infancy. Hoping that these work can provide reference f
