Flowers aren’t in bloom till June. Stanza 2 As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a’ the seas gang dry. Bonnie is derived from the French word bon (good) and Lass means a young girl. So it means “my pretty girl”. You are as pretty, my dear girl, as I deeply love you.
