blackboard, chalk, pictures
Teaching procedures：
Step1 lead-in
Write “the farm” on the blackboard and ask these questions:
Do you know farm animals?
Where can we see a chicken, cow, duck or pig?
What food comes from these animals?
Step2 learn the new words
follow the pictures and read chicken,cow,duck and pig
students learn to say the words with the help of pictures
discuss the pictures in English
play the audiotape and ask students to follow
give students a few minutes to remember these words
Step3 practice
use words to review new words and answer questions:
What colour is the pig?

Homework
