ModernArchitectureinnorthernShaanxi(1840-1949)Specialty：ArchitecturalhistoryandtheoryName：WangLiInstructor：YangHaozhongABSTRACTDuringmodernperiod(1840-1949),notablemodernbuildingswhichhasmanytypesandfeatureswereformedinnorthernShaanxi,basedonitsuniquegeographicalenvironment,resources,andspecificbackgroundofredrevolutionarybaseinthepost-warhistoryandculture.Thesebuildingswereformedinthecentralpartoftheloessplateau,inwhicharea,basedonthemulti-levelecologicaltransitionzone,peoplelivedmainlybyfarming,anomadiclifesupplemented,andwereinheritedthecentralplainsculturemainly,exoticculturessupplemented,withtheintegrationofmodernwesterncultureandthentheimpactofwartimebase.TheformationandevolutionofmodernarchitectureinnorthernShaanxi,whichwasundertheinfluenceofthespecialgeography,cultureandhistory,hasaspecialhistoricalvalueandimportantresearchsignificance.ThepaperissuesofthespecialvalueofmodernarchitectureinnorthernShaanxibroketheclassificationbytypeofconstructionofasingleresearchintegratedapproach,andusedaresearchprogramsandtechnologyroadmap,mergingabaselineofhistoricalandcultural.Inthispaper,mainresearchworkandachievementsareshownasfollowing:Firstly,thispaperanalyzedthedevelopmentandevolutionofNorthernmodernarchitecture,depictedthedevelopmentoftheirhistoryandculture,andproposedthedevelopmentofNorthernmodernarchitecturalculture,whichwasconductedandcombinedbyWesternizationimport,folkgradient,redofexplorationandotherspace-timeelements.Secondly,themodernarchitectureofthesethreetimesisclassifiedanddiscussedrespectivelyinthispaper,basedonthedevelopmentandevolutionofNorthernmodernarchitecture,andthispapercollectedandanalyzedstatisticsofspatial西安建筑科大学博士学位论文distribution,typicalexamplesandcharacteristicsofthearchitectural,andsurveyedandmappedsomecriticalbuildingsespecially.Moreover，onthebasisofalong-termfieldresearchbytheauthorandhisteam,thispaperstudiedthemodernarchitecturefromfouraspects,whichwerearchitecturalstyle,architecturalspaceform,architecturalmodelingfeaturesandarchitecturalt
