华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract In different period of history, the journalist plays diverse roles according to the political form, technical means and the media ecology of the time. This thesis analyzes the role changing and progressing of the radio and television journalist through studying the current social context, e.g. the political environment and technical level etc. The time of the “triple play” has changed the means of communication and the communication role of the journalist. Part-time journalists’ participating in journalism reconstructs the situation of the development of Chinese journalism. With the undergoing of the “triple play”, the opening degree of the political democracy in China is improving increasingly; the development of the digital technique has reached a breakthrough and the audience receives and spreads information through more and more channels. As a result, the progress of communication becomes varied and the interaction in it increases. Different levels of communication—the interpersonal communication, the group communication, the organization communication, the focus communication and the mass communication—have been integrated, which has changed the method of social communication and social lifestyle. The connotation of the journalist has been developing from being an observer of politic, and a platform of communication which reflects public voice to being a supervisor, an integrator of information and a social educator. Journalists turn to be versatile, round the clock and grass roots. Moreover, the way of communication has no more being one-sided. Varied means and platforms have been added in communication and the audience now are able to interact through varied channels, which makes communication become multi-sided and overlapping.
