The philosophy, literature, science and technology, religion previous scholars at home and abroad who research the thought of Liezi mostly focus on Taoism, literature, environmental ethics ,Especially for liezi authenticity for a lot ofstudies and arguments, etc., but very little study of Lie zi’s science and technology thought systemically, lack of monograph which has overall understanding, comprehensive analysis and fine paper. Therefore, in order to study Lie zi’s thought by keeping pace with the times, achieving its modern value and enlightening the present development of science and technology, this paper is written on the basis of the previous research and the research of the book of Lie zi, to explain the details of Lie zi’s science and technology thought systemically and comprehensively and analyze it scientifically and inherit it critically. This paper is divided into four parts: the first part introduces Lie zi’s life and books and on background of his science and technology thought by reviewing Lie zi’s thought on science and technology on the basis of his living time. The following two parts are the key to the point, introducing Lie zi’s thought on science and technology respectively. The second chapter mainly summarized the example of the ontology, environmental ethics, nature, in the field of natural scientific thought and scientific thinking, such as natural epistemology ,The third chapter mainly summarizes the view, the most effective tools for liezi practical theory and pragmatic theory and other technical ideas. The last chapter is the author of liezi evaluation of science and technology thought, from the characteristics of liezi thought three aspects, the contemporary value and limitations are summarized.
