It is the mass accumulates of history and culture in all the nations and regions for thousands years, and is also an important cultural phenomenon which is distinctive. Inheriting and developing the Chinese traditional sports better is our responsibility and mission. However, in the process of globalization in sports, western sports in which the Olympic movement is representative is dominant and also causes great impact on the development of our traditional sports. In the face of such crisis, how to develop our traditional sports? China has an old saying: The mutant can ever victorious. Visibly, It is very important for the comparative study of Chinese and western sports. It remains our hot spot of the research. Throughout the present study of Chinese and western sports in our country, it is found that most scholars do a comparative study for Chinese and western sports comprehensively from sports culture, physical properties and cognitive model, but neglect the study for characteristics of Chinese and western sports from different medical background. So, the comparative study for Chinese and western sports through this important, special perspective, not only causes the attention of the reference from our people, but also provides the theoretical basis for the development of our traditional sports. At the same time, it also can enrich and perfect the comparative theory system of Chinese and western sports, and make a contribution to the construction and development of Chinese comparative sports.
