摘 摘 要 I I 摘 要 词汇是语言的基本要素，在英语学习中，如果没有足够的词汇量，就很难理 解英文材料。因此在英语教学过程中，重视词汇教学显得尤为重要。本文是一篇 翻译项目报告，翻译材料节选自英语教师盖恩(Ruth Gairns)和雷德曼(Stuart Redman) 根据自己多年教学经验所著《如何提高词汇教学成效》（Working with Words: A guide to teaching and learning vocabulary）一书。该书是一本非常实用的词汇教学指导手 册，提供了各种操作性极强的词汇教学活动。同时，书中还介绍了有关词汇教学 的语言学及心理学知识，作为对词汇教学活动的理论支撑，使英语教师可以更加 得心应手地组织词汇教学活动。 词汇教学指导手册作为信息类文本，其功能在于向读者传递信息，所以此类 文本的翻译重点在于让译文读者准确接收原文文本所要表达的内容，使译文读者 对译本的反应程度与原文读者大体一致。针对这样的文本特征，译者选择了尤 金·奈达的功能对等理论作为指导。本报告结合具体案例分析，重点探讨了信息 类文本翻译过程中需注意的问题：如何做好译前准备工作确保翻译质量；如何在 信息类文本的翻译中实现功能对等理论的指导作用；如何根据信息类文本的特点 选择相应的翻译方法。本报告结合词性转换、增补与省略、语态转换等翻译技巧， 对教学指南类文本翻译进行分析，为今后同类文本的翻译提供了参考。 全文由五部分组成：第一章介绍翻译项目的背景、意义及报告结构。第二章 介绍了翻译理论基础、译前准备工作。第三章对原文本进行分析，包括原文介绍、 作者介绍及原文语言特点分析。第四章结合案例分析介绍了具体的翻译方法的应 用。第五章是对此次翻译项目的总结，包括翻译经验及有待进一步解决的问题。 关键词：《如何提高词汇教学成效》；翻译：功能对等理论 ABSTRACT ABSTRACT II II ABSTRACT Vocabulary is the basic foundation of language, and anyone who doesn‘t master abundant English vocabulary could not understand the English materials during the learning process. Therefore, it is extremely vital to attach importance to English vocabulary during the English language teaching process. This is a report on the E-C translation of three chapters from the book Working with Words: A Guide to Teaching and Learning Vocabulary, written by Ruth Gairns and Stuart Redman ，who are experienced English teachers. This book is a practical vocabulary teaching guidance with available teaching activities. Meanwhile, as the theoretical basis for the vocabulary teaching, some linguistic and philosophy theories are illustrated in this book in order to assist language teachers to organize the teaching activities. As an informative text, the function of this teaching guidance book is to transmit the accurate information. Hence, the translating aim of this kind of text is to convey the correct meaning to the target language readers.
