The Peoples Hospital of Rugao City, Jiangsu Province, Rugao 226500, China) Abstract Objective: To improve the situation of excessive growth of medical insurance cost, so as to improve the efficiency of using the health insurance funds. Methods: The state of medical insurance cost, procedure and influencing factors were analyzed by using precise management theory and the principle of pharmacoeconomics. Results: The reason for excessive growth of medical insurance cost was the natural outcome of varieties and strength in the current directory. Conclusion: With the introduction of pharmacoeconomics and the operable precise management, the cost of medical insurance can be effectively reduced and controlled, meanwhile, the quality of medical treatment can be improved.
