At the same time, the problems appeared in many cities, such as environmental pollution, traffic congestion, and serious inflation, which brought great negative effects on residents health and life in cities. Presented the concept of livable city, it provided the builders of cities an ideological guidance to solve the above problems, and the existing livable city is also a worth learning model in the process of urban construction. The land, as the most basic elements of urban economic and social development resources, played an important role in urban construction. So, this paper combined the livable cities and land use, and researched the existing land use situation of the livable city and land use efficiency evaluation, in order to find a high efficiency of Chinas livable urban land use and set up a good model for other cities. At first, this paper described the background, purpose, significance of the research, and the review of research domestic and overseas. Then, this paper compared the evaluation method of livable cities in China and chose the most authoritative index system of the evaluation. And 14 a livable citied was selected from the result as the research objects. And then the current situation of the development and current land use situation ware analyzed from the economic, ecological, and the peoples livelihood. At last data envelopment analysis (DEA) was used in livable urban land use efficiency evaluation and did deep analysis and research according to the results obtained by model.
