* * * * * * * * * * * * * Reverse primary endopoint: Packer’s HF Clinical Composite The primary end point of the study was the HF clinical composite response, used to classify patients as worsened, unchanged, or improved. Patients were classified as worsened if they: died or were hospitalized for worsening HF; crossed over to the alternate treatment or permanently discontinued double-blind treatment due to worsening HF; had an increase in NYHA functional class or a moderate or marked worsening in their overallclinical status. Patients were classified as improved if they had not worsened
