China Environmental Science, 27,27(5)642~647 Abstract Utilizing animal bird manure simulating in door composting was carried out. The dynamic change of hippuric content, influence factor in composting process and the variation of hippuric acid content in different manure were studied. The hippuric acid content in different kinds of animal bird manure was in the order of cow manure pig manure chicken manure. The hippuric acid content in cow manure was high reaching 129.48mg/kg, pig manure was in 81.80~85.99mg/kg, while chicken manure was in 42.62~45.11mg/kg. The content of hippuric acid all drastically increased with composting, then decreased slowly, after 42d decreasing to lower than initial value.
