A metaphor expresses the unfamiliar in terms of the familiar. e.g. 1.My life is one long curve, full of turning points.2.Sometimes you go into what I call a bubble boom and every bubble bursts.3. My heart is a lonely hunter that hunts on a lonely hill. ;(3) Understatement: understatement- statement which is not strong enough to express facts or feelings with full force/doesn’ t fully express the extent to which something is true.
