Abst Abstract II II Research on Regional Differences in the Impacts of Chinas Technical Progress on the Employment and Countermeasure Abstract The main contents of the research include four aspects: the first one is that the evaluation and comparative analysis of the technological progress and employment in different regions. The second one is that theoretical analysis of the mechanism of Chinas technical progress on the employment. The third one is that the comparison and assessment of the impacts of China’s technology progress on employment in different regions based on the empirical analysis. The last one is corresponding countermeasure and suggestion。 The total factor productivity is estimated by Solow residual method, the substance capital accumulation of each province is calculated by perpetual inventory method, the material capital and labor capital elasticity is got by empirical estimation method and regression analysis method, GDP of each province is calculated by using 1990 changeless price, workforce is presented by the average number of workforce in two years. This paper analyses the relationship between employment and technology progress in different regions by using Eview statistical analysis software. According to the empirical analysis, the paper gets to a conclusion as below: the impacts of technical progress on employment vary in different regions. Overall level of employment rises when technical level rises in the developed area and impoverished western region, both show direct ratio concern. However, the conclusion of the central provinces is on the contrary and shows obvious extrusion effect。 According to above condition, we should take corresponding policy to promote employment in different areas. In the central area ( undeveloped area), we can take the following measures: Government should increase the capital investment in these areas. Local governments should also increase capital attraction pace. Education departments should vigorously pr
