The protective effect of tea polyphenols on formaldehyde exposure in mouse liver injury
Abstract
Objective : Formaldehyde and the daily life of people are becoming more and more frequent contact, thus a variety of diseases caused by formaldehyde is gradually increased. We have an urgent need for a convenient, stylish, easy for the public to accept prevention and treatment modalities. Polyphenols is a natural, environmentally friendly, healthy drinking food, and it has the beauty, sterilization and other important health functions. Investigate the effect of tea polyphenols on formaldehyde induced mouse liver injury protective effect,thus confirming the effective prevention and treatment of tea polyphenols in formaldehyde related diseases.
Methods: In this study, conducted in two phases. The first stage, selected laboratory mice are exposed in formaldehyde (formaldehyde concentration were 40mg/m3, 80mg/m3 and 160mg/m3) by static type inhalation,four hours a day. Mouse blood and liver tissue removed after 28 days,produced to be detected liquid. Then detect serum total protein, albumin concentration and vitality of alanine aminotransferase (ALT / GPT) activity and liver superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) content, and analyzed. Identify suitable concentration of formaldehyde can cause liver dysfunction in mice. The second stage. In the first stage of the foundation, with the appropriate reference concentrations of formaldehyde poisoned mice using static inhalation way . And at the same time give different concentration of tea polyphenols (100mg / kg,200mg / kg,400mg / kg, ) by gavage for protection, and set the control group,which were gavaged with saline.
