Abstract
With the rapid development of urbanization, urban rail transit has played an important role in urban transportation because of its safety, energy savings, sufficient transport capacity and speed. Urban rail transit system in the developed countries and regions was accomplished early, but in China it is studied at the beginning stage. The bogie has been one of the key components of urban rail transit vehicles. Whether structural parameters of the bogie (i.e. primary suspension) are reasonably determined or not influence directly to the vehicles’ performances in terms of reliability, dynamics and safety. Articulated bogies have many advantages, such as less noise and good curving performance, and they have been successfully applied in overseas, but they are less to use in urban rail vehicles in our county. So the technique has drawn much attention. In this paper, vehicles with articulated bogies are selected as the object of study, and are designed and manufactured by CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd. With respect to the kinetics, the articulated bogie is simulated
by the multi-body simulation software SIMPACK. To a certain extent,research in this
paper has some engineering application and practical significance for the development of the articulated bogie used in the urban railcar in our country.
According to the structure features of the articulated bogie, the forces on wheel-set, bolster, framework and car body are analyzed, and dynamic differential equations of them are provided. A non-linear structural dynamic model is created by SIMPACK’s substitution variables and substructure technique.
Based on the Power Spectral Density (PSD) of track irregularities in the frequency domain, the time domain sample of track irregularities is simulated through Inverse Fourier Transform (IFFT), and then provides the excitation functions for the simulation system.
