Methods:Review literatures related to the role of the nurse or the changes of the role of the nurse. Conclusion:The role of the nurse in the relationship between nurse and patients changes from the traditional disease care nurse to the modern holistic nurse.The traditional disease care nurse is a medicalorder executor and a caregiver.The modern holistic nurse is a caregiver,decider,designer,communicator,director,recovery promotor，educator，prolocutor,researcher and luminary.Post training,the integrating of related knowledge and the promoting of the head nurse’s role can be used to improve the changes of the role of the nurse.
