Methods: 140 patients with atlantoaxial subluxation concomitant were randomly divided into two groups. The observation group with 70 cases was treated by pulling up the neck, and the control group with 70 cases was treated by pulling manipulation on supine position. The therapeutic ef ects of the two groups were compared. Results: Pulling up the neck could improve cervical occipital pain, reduce the front gap of the atlanto-occipital clearance and the axis of set distance of atlas eicacy, which was superior to supine pulling and turning the neck (P0.01), and the total ef ective rate was 90%. Conclusion: Pulling up the neck could ef ectively alleviate or eliminate pain in the neck, by correcting the atlanto-axial displacement abnormal anatomy and biomechanics of relations and achieve remarkable results.
