西南科技大学矿业工程硕士专业学位论文 PAGE VI 西南科技大学矿业工程硕士专业学位论文 PAGE VI Abstract During the underground rock mass engineering, the generation, development and collapse of roof abscission layer is an important reason for mined-out area disaster. Roof separation is the external manifestation of several factors, such as: the ground stress, rock mechanical properties, rock structure and roadway section and so on. The article studies process of roof abscission layer and researches the law of roof abscission layer. Mainly introduces mechanism of abscission layer, crack tip of stress field and displacement field, crack instability extended criterion, with rocks tension damage theory and classical theory of fracture mechanics theory as foundation, a finite element model, the numerical simulation result calculated, simulation analysis of abscission layer rupture results. The method of article is that crack occurs in element internal, and crack develops and splits the relevant unit which is point of the main stress direction, then the mess will add new elements and nodes ,after that, program will optimize automatically the shape of grid after cracking. The simulation result show that process of generation, development and collapse of roof abscission layer is manifestation which stress is applied on the rock stratum, then, discontinuity surface is appeared by abscission layer destroy, the cracks around the stress state changed, the cracking point the stress was released, the stress redistributio n, resulting in the further expansion of the formation of the rock cracks secondary rupture, this process constantly repeated. Development of abscission layer is the process of the formation of the new structure, the corresponding stress state leading to constant adjustment and change. The tension fracture finite element procedure is to provide a way to ensure the safety of engineering construction. Key words: Overburden Separated; FEM program; Crack Propagation; E
