It was planned and administered independently by the Telephone Survey Research Laboratory of Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The sampling design and fieldwork are explained as follows. First, a certain number of telephone numbers are selected randomly from the latest Residential Telephone Directory (English version). In order to capture the unlisted telephone numbers, the last two digits are deleted and replaced by two random numbers generated by computer. Second, in each successfully contacted residential unit, only one person who aged 18 or above will be randomly selected by means of his/her birthday. Those unsuccessfully contacted telephone numbers will be tried three to four attempts on two different days before any non-contact status is assigned. The telephone interviews were conducted from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. during April 19-21, 2004. The actual sampling procedures and results are summarized as follows: 是次電話調查由「綠色和平」委託，香港亞太研究所電話調查研究計劃負責籌 劃及獨立進行調查。此調查的抽樣方法如下：首先，從最新的香港住宅電話簿 (英 文版) 中隨機抽出若干電話號碼；為了使未刊載之住宅電話號碼也有機會被選中， 將已抽選的電話號碼最後的兩個數字刪去，再配上由電腦產生的隨機數字，成為是 次調查的樣本。第二步，當成功接觸住戶後，再以出生日期隋機選取其中一名十八 歲或以上的家庭成員作為訪問對象。那些未能
