Get the students to practise speaking, listening and writing Emotion, attitudes and value The main topic of this unit is films. It is close to the students’ life. It is helpful for students to understand their favourite film stars better. Meanwhile it can bring up the students’ feelings of taking care of others ,making a contribution to the society Difficulties and focus 1.The new words and expressions 2. The names of the films and awards. Teaching tools a computer ,slide projector and a computer multimedia. Teaching and studying design of mutual actions Teaching Procedures and time Teaching actions Studying actions Studying knowledge Studying methods Step1.(2’) Free talk Step2(2’) Discussion The teacher talks With the children 1.Do you like films? 2.What films do you like best? 3.Do you like film stars? 4.which film star do you like best? 5.Enjoy the pictures of film stars. After enjoying the pictures, ask the children to talk about the films and film stars in pairs. The children answer the questions one by one. 1.Ss:Yes,I do. 2.I like action film best. 3.Yes, I do . 4.I like Jackie best Children talk about the films and stars freely in pairs. 1. The teacher asks the children to listen and answer freely. 2. Encourage them to talk about the films and the stars. 3. Invite some of children to talk like this.. 1. Give them some clapping if they do very well. Step3(7’) Presentation After discussion, the teacher goes on asking the questions. 1.Do you like Maggie Cheung? 2.Ok.please look at the slids.
