These words have an es. 1.以s, x, ch, sh结尾的词，一般在词末尾加es，构成复数。 2. 以y结尾的名词，复数构成有两种： (1)以辅音字母+y结尾的名词，将y变为i，再加-es，读音变化：/ z/ 。 (2)以元音字母+y结尾的名词，直接在词尾加-s，读音变化：/ z/ 。 3. 以f或fe结尾的名词。 （1）多将f或fe改为-ves，读音变化:/ vz/ 。 （2）但也有个别的词加s，如：roof ͢ roofs屋顶。 Tomatoes, potatoes and photos.
