AbstractResearch Abstract Research of the Value．added Service Platform Based on IMS Major：Communication and Information System Name：Peng Ling Supervisor：Professor．Liu gejun Abstract IMS 0P Multimedia Subsystenn technology is the recognized base of FMC (Fixed·Mobile Convergence)in the telecommunication industry．However，the system of IMS standards itself is not completely mature．And there are still many uncertain factors during the development of FMC．So，the realization of 1MS based FMC is a long COUrSe．With the trend of FMC，operators should design the service layer according to IMS in advance．They can construct a value·added service platform based on IMS to provide users with IP multimedia converged services，hide details of the underlying network，couple with the existing infrastructures，reduce operation cost， link third—party applications to the operator’s business environment，and consequently form complete value chain． This paper firstly discusses what drives network to migrate toward FMC and what IMS means to FMC．Secondly，this paper proposes a layout of the value-added service platform based on IMS，then detailedly analyses the platform’s system architecture from the aspects of service system，service management logic，operation support system,IMS comlnoll functions，bearer and access．Otherwise，based on summarizing series of relating platforms，this paper presents a constructing method of three-layer software architecture based on distributed component technology．The method proposes to adopt a software model of multi-layer so as to solve the complicated problems about the design of the platform system．Applying distrmuted component technology makes it possible to separate and encapsulate platform’s total functions while each component communicates by middlewares，which aims at solving the problems about flexibility，updating，convenient maintenance and interoperation．Finally，based on my work about VASP phase 1 in company，this Ⅱ AbstracIpaper AbstracI paper introduces desig
