Design Design and Development of Intelligent Instrument Based on ARM Zhao Kai(Control Science and Engineering) Directed by Associate Prof．Yu Zuojun Abstract Since the application of the hi曲performance processors such as ARM／DSP，digital signals and kinds of complicate control algorithms are easily managed by instruments， which makes traditional instruments turn to the trend of intelligence and network．With the deeper development of industrial information network technology，the control network based on the TCP／IP of embedded System，the intelligent instruments and automate system winl features of both field BUS and industrial IT， will be the landmark of the industrialization turning to the information． The thesis rightly got the point，the intelligent instrument Was designed and developed with ARM．It has the outstanding feature that the TCP／IP Was realized on the field device． Then the field device．is connectted into the internet， SO the control network is merged into the internet．The remote sensing can be gone on by the operation staff． The procedure of developing the instrument and field experiment is stated by the author deviding into four parts．In the first place，the background and development of popular technology of intelligent instruments widely used are discussed．Then secondly，the hardware of the intelligent instrument is anlysized， mainly about the peripheral circuit of $3C2410A， including reset circuit， storage device， network device， A／D，D／A ere． Thirdly，design of software is stated．And this part includes four little parts：(i)Porting of ARMLinux，porting of the file system，programming of drivers．(ii)Porting and programming of application software running on the intelligent instuments．(iii)Programming of remote client on PC， communication protoc01．(iv)PID and DMC control algorithms． Forthly，the instrument is applied on the field devices in order to test the performance．At last，the conclusion and the prospect ofthe subject is given， and the shortag
