华中科技大学硕士学位论文 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract As the bridge and link between megacities and medium-sized cities and rural areas, small towns show great significance in promoting the construction of urban-rural integration in China. Currently, promoted by the fast development of urbanization, small towns have developed into a prosperous period with many opportunities, high starting point and great changes. Compared with the achievement of economic construction, problems (due to the lack of scientific planning and efficient guide, plus disordered management in the following period) existing in the landscape environment of small towns need to be solved quickly. Waterfront space with the diversity of landscape elements and sensitive ecological environment has become an important component of landscape system in small towns, which deserves to be studied by aim and provided practical design strategy. Based on the background, exploration on researches about small town and waterfront landscape at home and abroad is done at first. Then the main focuses of researches on small town and waterfront landscape at home and abroad is analyzed and concluded and the deficiencies of the researches are discussed. At last, Through the analysis and summarizing of landscape character of small towns and the present situation of waterfront landscape in small towns, a theoretical framework of research method on waterfront landscape design of small towns is put forward. The core part of this paper is the main content of the constructing “3R type of landscape design method, which includes two aspects: Firstly, combined with the background the two-oriented society construction in China, 3R(Reducing, reusing and recycling) principles in recycle economy are introduced into the waterfront landscape construction strategies of small towns in this paper.
