ABSTRACTLocomotive ABSTRACT Locomotive LCU Test IS the lmportant phase to veilfy lt’S veracity and reliability．The preparation is essential for LCU put to the market and actual work．ARM is generic name of one kind of CPU．According to it’S low—energy-consumer,excellent-performance and cheapness features， people usually use it for the embedded device core．This paper aims to combine both：building the ARM platform and study,and design Of LCU Test system． This paper introduces the four steps to build the ARM working platform in detail：First，establishing the basic hardware platform as the base of practice running．Thc well known SMDK2410 object board． which is produced by the Korea Samsung company,is selected as the hardware base，which is based on to develop and modify the software； Second，getting the cross—compiler whose aim is to compile software to get binary code Can be running in the ARM CPU；Third，migrating the Boot—loader,which is used to load all the necessary executable binary code to the memory and provide power to system；Fourth，migration of the OS．The usual Linux OS is selected．to provide the OS level system call，which is the interface of higher level software to control hardware and management to lower level hardware by driver,that iS．duty to assort with hardware and software． In this paper,the whole design of LCU Test system is put forward， coming from the soft-ware engineering point of view,following the method in Design Patterns，using the module idea in the Linux world and basing on the precondition of concretely analysis of LCU Test case．At the same time，combining with the characters of the embed system cording，this paper implements arithmetic of data compress and working state computer,put forward a simple and quick method to judge the hardware addressing．At last，this paper simply discusses the optimize arithmetic and the feasibility． KEY WORDS ARM，Embedded-Linux，LCU Test Ⅱ 原创性声明本人声明，所呈交的学位论文是本人在导师指导下进行的研究 原创性声明 本人声明，所呈交的学位论文是本人在导师指导下进行的研究 工作及取得的研究成果。尽我所知，除
