Corresponding author : LI Jian-ping , E-mail: ljp @ mail. neu. edu. cn) Abstract : To meet iron and steel enterprises requires to strengthen research capacit in cold-rolled production technolog , State Ke Laborator of Rolling and Automation ( RAL ) independentl designed and developed a new direct tension-t pe pilot cold rolling mill, w hich includes a vertical h draulic automatic gauge control(HAGC) generating tension through the h draulic c linders and chucks on both sides of the horizontal direction to realize automatic tension control ( AT C) . The equipment constitute, main functions and features of direct tension-t pe pilot cold rolling mill w ere introduced briefl . The control s stem structure and the realization of automatic control functions w ere illustrated. The control precisions were gotten through s stem testing.
