英语教学演讲稿范文 　　英语教学演讲稿范文　　An Electric Lamp Lighting up for the New Generation　　Good morning, ladies and gentleman！　　First，I’m extremely honored for gaining this opportunity to share my points of view about teaching with so many distinguished teachers．Then let’s come to the point. Today I’m going to talk about “An Electric Lamp Lighting up for the New Generation”.　　Being teachers for hundreds of youngsters, do we feel proud? Of course we do. We take great pride not only in nurturing talents for our country but also in taking on the loftiest career in the world. Thus, for generations, we have been compared to industrious gardeners, lush greenery, paving stones and more commonly to candles which burn themselves out while light the road up for others. However, today I will tell you that I don’t want to be just a candle. Do you know why? For my part, due to its limited light scope, narrowed focus and short staying power, a candle is already not enough to describe a teacher. As we know that along with the ‘soft land’ of our country’s reform in economic system, the renovation of educational system is also being carried out like a raging fire. It was under this circumstance that a new round of reform in basic educational curriculum was put forward and implemented at the beginning of this year. Accordingly, new requirements on teachers and new hopes on youngsters came out. Therefore, as key roles, we teachers have been trying to adjust ourselves to meet the current needs of the society. In order to keep up with the time and endow our students with enough competence to take any challenge from the society, I think it’s more suitable for our teachers to be electric lamps and devote ourselves to providing everlasting brightness and vigor to the new generation.　　I am an electric lamp that is full off energy and determined to devote itself wholeheartedly to its beneficiaries. There is no doubt that a good teacher should be knowledgeable, virtuous and unique in character. Besid
