The BRBs can undergo fu lly- reversed axial yield cycles w ithout loss of stiffness and strength, whose seism ic energy dissipation ability is superior. Based on the num erical analysis of Benchm ark bu ild ing in ANSYS, w hen the steel frame is installed w ith BRBs, the stiffness of the steel framew ill be mi proved under frequent earth quake. Under rare earthquake, the energy d issipation is comp leted by the hysteretic deformation ofBRBs, the seis m ic responses of the structures w ill be greatly reduced and the seism ic performance w ill be mi proved. When the higher vibration modes are considered, the capacity spectrum analysis methodw ill be mi proved.
