ANALYSIS ANALYSIS oF CAUSES OF CRACKING oN REGE】岖猿A=rOR WALL FOR FLUIDIZED C—江AI，YZED CRACKING(FCC)UNIT AND THE CRACKING PERVENTl0N ABSTRACT FCC process is a main refining one for changing heavy oils into light oils． FCC unit is also a very important secondary processing unit．The development of FCC technology and the improvement its economic benefit have made FCC being a more important role in oil refining industry． Regenerator is the key equipment of FCC unit．Its safe，stable，good， fully—loaded and long period operation is of great importance to economic benefit of the unit． Since 1994，in the 2“4 FCC unit of Jinzhou Petrochemical Company,and in the FCC units of Maoming Petrochemical Company,Fushun Petrochemical Company,Shijiazhuang Petrochemical Company,Dalian Petrochemical Company,Jinmen Petrochemical Company and SO on，cracks of varying degree have been found on all the regenerator walls，in which more than 1200 cracks were found on the regenerator wall of the 2“6 FCC unit’s regenerator of Jinzhou Petrochemical Company,making the regenerator to be repaired without means and to be discarded．These cracks seriously threat the safe production of the units．Thus，a research project “How to prevent generating this kind of crack”was carried out systematically in Fushun Petrochemical Company,and the results of this research are summarized in this thesis．In the research，the first step is to check all the butt welds welds and part of the base material to detect the cracks and their positions， and to repair these defects．And secondly,by stress test，stress analysis and medium composition analysis，the cracks are determined as stress corrosion cracks．Then，treatment policy and prevention measures are worked out，such as installing thermal insulation outside the regenerator wail to raise the temperature over the dew point to prevent acid solution condensation， choosing tlle matching welding rode to repair wall cracks，strengthening inspection of regenerator’S welds，and SO on，to ensur
