分类号 分类号 密级 学校代码 10542 学号201202080667 A Multimodal Discourse Analysis of Twiligh t Posters 电影《暮色》系列海报的多模态话语分析 指导教师姓名、职称 廛基坠塾撞。 研 究 方 向 墓适亟主鲎 湖南师范大学学位评定委员会办公室 二0一五年六月 万方数据 A A Multimodal Discourse Analysis of Twilight Posters AThesis Submitted to Foreign Studies College Of Hunan Normal University In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements For the Degree of Master ofArts in the Subject of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics By Liu Yingzi Under the Supervision of Professor Tang Yanling Changsha，Hunan June，2015 万方数据 AbstractMost Abstract Most of the discourse analysis comes to the text—based articles in the former researches．Nowadays，along with the rapid development of high—tech information technology，the obtaining and conveying of information is no longer confined to text，because numerous non—verbal information is pouring into our field of vision，such as images，figures， colors，sounds，animations and SO on．If we want to analyze such kind of discourse much more aceurately and truly，the mono—modal discourse analysis is not adaptive any more．Thus，the multi—modal discourse analysis came into being in the 1 990s，and it gradually becomes one of the hots—pots of linguists，at home and abroad． As one of the main forms to promote a film，movie poster mainly aims to pass the movie plot，prominent the selling points，exchange different cultures and highlight the potential significance of a film，etc． What is more，it can also obtain the public’S attention and satisfy their curiosity SO as to achieve the purpose of increasing the box office．And for the former purposes，film posters usually contain texts，images，colors， and other forms of modal，which shows that film posters belong to the multimodal discourse．Therefore，the theoretical basis of this article is Kress＆Leeuwen’S Visual Grammar，which is such kind of grammar that originates from Halliday’S grammar concept．The core contents of Visual Grammar consist of“representation meaning”．“interactive meaning”and “compositional meaning’
