《高中英语教学活动》反思 词、句、段、篇是我们英语学习的四个基本层次,其中最终落脚点在“篇”上,作文是以“篇”的形式出现,阅读理解同样也是以“篇”的形式出现。我们可以说,语篇学习与作文和阅读理解能力的提高是息息相关的。因此,对于语篇的学习也不容忽视。下面几教学中的例子加以分析(必修4,Unit4 Body Language Showing Our Feelings),具体操作如下: Step1: prereading Ask the students to look at the title and the pictures, and predict the content of the text. Question1: What’s the meaning of the title “showing our feelings”? ( the teacher can give some hints about the meaning of “feelings”) Question2: Describe the three pictures on the page30.What can you see in the pictures? Qestion3: What do you think the text is going to talk about? Then ask them to skim the text and check if they are right. Step2: Reading Make the students read the text quickly and find out the topic sentence of each paragraph. Para1: Body language is one of the most powerful means of communication. Para2: The most universal facial expression is smile. Para3: We show unhappiness or anger by frowning. Para4: There are many ways to show agreement or disagreement. Para5:How about showing that I am bored? Para6: Being respectful to people is subjective based on each culture. Para7: With so many cultural differences between people, it is great to have some similarities in body language. Step3: Further analysis to the text Read the text again and divide the text into three parts, and then write down the main idea of each part in your own words. Part One (Para.1) Part One (Para.1) Part Two (Para.2,3,4, 5,6) Part Three (Para.7) Body language is powerful. Many gestures and actions are universal. Body language has some similarities with so many cultural differences.
