Abstract: A dopting the FEM num er ica l smi ulation, the m echanica l ch aracter istics o f m idd le rock p illar, the approach degree
o f surround ing rock y ie ld ing, the bo lt ax ia l force and the interna l force o f seconda ry lining stru cture, e tc. are elabo rated. T he
resu lts dem on stra te as fo llow s: w hen the c lea r distance equ a lsB / 3, the m ech an ica l beh av ior of m iddle rock p illar is adverse,
becau se it is severe ly affec ted by the over lapp ing effect of the ex cavation stress f ie ld from left and right ho les the y ie ld ing
d istr ict can cu t acro ss m iddle rock p illar, and the supportinglining stru ctures around the m idd le rock p illar shou ld be
streng thened. W ith the c lear d istance at the range from 085B to 15B, the m ech an ic state o f m iddle ro ck p illar is little in
flu enced by the clear d istance.
