Unit 9 What does he look like? 教学设计 授课教师 孙雯 授课班级 初一（8）班 教材简介 人教版新目标英语（Go for it !）七年级下册第9单元 第一课时 授课类型 听说课 教材分析 本单元的话题是人的外貌，本单元的功能是能够询问并描述人的外貌。本单元的话题实用性较强，与学生生活十分贴近，能够引发学生的学习兴趣。本课是一节听说课，所以本课的主要功能是学生能够听懂听力材料中所描述的人的形象，并运用目标语言口头询问并描述人的外貌。 学情分析 授课班级初一（8）班的特点是两极分化情况比较严重。但是绝大多数学生有学习的愿望，态度好，规矩好，能够积极参加课堂活动。不足之处在于某些基础知识，尤其是一些细节知识掌握不牢固，使得口语表达中常出现小错误。 教学目标 能够正确使用10个目标词汇描述人的身高，体形和头发。 能够正确使用What引导的特殊疑问句询问人的外貌，并描述人的外貌。 能够正确使用选择疑问句询问人的外貌，并做简单回答。 教学重点和难点 重点：有关外貌描述的词汇和相关句型。 难点：运用功能句型描述人物外貌时需要分清何时用is,何时用has. 教学步骤 Procedures Activities Intentions Lead in Students watch a video and say the words or phrases about people’s look that they can remember from the video To lead in the topic and stimulate their interest. Pre-listening-1 Teacher shows pictures about the 10 new words and asks “what does he/she look like?” Students practice by answering “He/She is..” “ He/She has…” To learn the new words and practice one target sentence so as to prepare for listening task 1. While-listening-1 Students listen to 1b, fill in the blanks and find out who is talked about. To get the key words and have a general sense of the target language through listening. Post-listening-1: pair work Students work in pairs to ask and answer about people’s looks by using the target language. To practice the target language in pairs. Pre-listening-2 Teacher picks one of the students in class and asks the whole class, “Is he tall or short?” Does he have long or short hair?” Students give the answer. Students read the questions in 2a together To prepare for listening 2a. While-listening-2 Students listen and write down answers to questions in 2a. Students listen again and fill in the blanks in the handout. Listen and get familiar with the target language: alternative questions and their answer. Post-listening-2 Students work in pairs to practice the target language. Guessing game Students read the conversation in 2d and answer questions. Students make their own dialogue To practice the target language in
