Period 1 Section A(1a--2c) (一)教学目标: I.知识目标: 1.单词: hair, curly, straight, height, tall, medium, thin, heavy, build. 2.句型:-- What does he/she look like? --He/She is tall and has long hair. --What do you look like? --I’m thin. II.能力目标 : 1.学完本课,学会描述人物外貌。? 2.能积极思维,运用所学单词,短语及句型,结合实际生活进行灵活运用。 III.情感目标: 让学生学会友好地描述别人的形象。 (二)教学重点: 掌握本课新单词、句型和怎样描述一个人的外貌。 (三)教学难点: 掌握正确运用have动词和be动词的描述人物外貌的方法。 (四)教学过程: Step1 Warming-up Brainstorm and competition Think about words as many as possible to describe a person. Divide students into two groups and let them have a competition. Ask students to write words on the blackboard one by one. Step 2 Presentation 1. Invite some students to come in the front of the class and ask other students to describe him or her. 2. Show some photos to introduce hairstyle, height and build. Teach the new words and the new sentence pattern. Step3 Listening Before listening Let the Ss look at the picture and match the people in the picture with the words. And check the answers together by using: C has short hair. D is tall. While listening Let the Ss listen Activity 1b carefully, fill in the blanks in the picture and find Amy’s friend. We can listen twice.The first time, just listen.The second time,listen and fill in the blanks.And say something about Amy’s friend’s look.( Hes really tall.And he has curly hair.) After listening Pair work: One of the people in our class is your friend. Describe your friend. Your partner will find him or her. ----What does your friend look like? ----He’s of medium height. He has curly hair. ----Is he ~? ----Yes. You’re right. Step 4 listening (2a2b) Before listening 1.快速自读三个问题,掌握选择疑问句的用法。 2.找出三个人名:David,Sally,Peter,并找出对应的描述外貌的单词。 While listening 1.分别播放录音,听三个对话,分别完成问题1,2,3。 1.Is David tall or short?          ? 2.Does Sally have long or short hair?   ? 3.Is Peter tall or short? 2.
