A A bstract ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————一一 ABSTRACT Nowadays，supply chain plays a more and more important role in today-s economic globalization．However,with its further development,the negative impacts resulting from the frailty and instability have aroused researchers’attention in recent years．Under such e五rcumstances，证is increasingly necessary for US to studv and manage the supply chain risks．Suppliers control the resources of the matedaIs for manu击actttrcrs，and the risk m suppliers may cause abnormal operation of the supplv chain．The warning and assessment of the Supplier Risk which plays an important roIe血the risk management in supply chain is the foundation of the supply chain management and the key of risk control in supply chain．Under such background，the paper pays attention into how to assess the Supplier Risk scientifically and reasonable． The paper identifies the Supplier Risk and set up a index system guided by the principles and standards after the analysis of conception and character of t王le Supplier Risk．After a review of traditional risk assessment methods，the paper points out that one of the disadvantages exiting in the current Supplier Risk assessment is that there are too many redundant and relevant indexes in the system out of consideration of comprehensive and accurate assessment，which leads to the loW distinguish ability and assessment efficiency．Based on the situation，the paper brings up that we can simplify the complicated index system and eliminate the I．edundant information with rough set．In the mean time we call also use the theory to set up the index weights to make it more objective．The traditional risk assessmem metllods such as AHP rely on the subjective wills of decision．makers，which leads to the 1ess objective results，while the results of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation are ofien distorting and Inaccurate．As a result，it is very necessary to use a more reasonable method in accordance with the characters of
