The sediment makes conductor surface electric field distortion and forms many small discharge tips, causing corona discharge. Especially in the rainy season, Corona discharge can produces audible noise, seriously affecting the normal life of residents alo ng. Especially in the rainy season, corona discharge can result in the problems such as radio signals interference and power loss. Therefore reducing the corona discharge becomes a pressing problem.In this paper, TiO2 composite ceramic powders were prepared by polyvinyl alcohol granulation technology. TiO2 coatings were prepared on the surface of high voltage wires and aluminum substrates by plasma spraying technology.The morphologies and phase compositions of the prepared composite powders and coatings were analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy and X-ray diffraction respectively.The surface roughness of wires without and with TiO2 coatings were measured by roughness tester, and the effect of roughness on surface wettability was also analyzed.The stat
