IIllrl IIllrl I llrJJIJfJI rflrlJlrl Illllrlllll Ill fll Y1 80 1 703 摘要 本文通过对辽宁省本溪市本钢教育培训中心三种不同专业学生的口语课情 况进行问卷调查,发现:(1)各专业学生的口语课堂参与率很低;(2)各专业学 生口语学习动机很高。既然学生的英语口语交际能力不是很糟,同时对口语课重 要性的认识也很高,但是实际口语课的参与率却很低,这个矛盾便是本文要研究 的重点。通过问卷调查发现,传统的口语课堂教学模式和教师不当的教学方式是 产生矛盾的主要原因。为深入研究造成这个问题的原因,对口语课堂的两个参与 者学生和教师及课堂进行了理论和实践上的分析,最后得出的结论是:教师话语 对学生口语课堂参与积极性的高低有重要的影响。对此,本文进一步提出了具体 建议:只有适当的教师话语配以相应的教学方法,才能提高口语课堂的参与率。 关键词: 参与率 策略口语教师话语 2 均 , 吨 A A Study of the Effect of Teacher Talk Oral Classroom Participation Abstract Since the globalization has expanded into many industries,English as an international language has attracted more and more attention. It affects and is employed widely in many aspects of people’S daily life.Therefore,communicative competence,especially English spoken skill,plays an important role more than just linguistic structure.According to this phenomenon,a hypothesis was asserted that English learners should assume positive attitude towards speaking English and have a lligh participation ratio in oral English class.To examine it,total 1 10 students fTom three different departments of the Bengang Institute of Technology were chosen to complete a questionnaire.The results concluded are as following:(1)the participation ratio of the students in the classes was very low;(2)the students’ motivation in oral classes was very high.Clearly,it is a contradiction between low participation and hi.gh motivation.Through the research of the questionnaire,it has discovered that traditionally educational mode in oral class and inappropriate methodologies employed by the teachers were the main courses of the contradiction.To investigate the ultimate reason,the study conducted both theoretical and practical analyses involved the students and teachers two parties in the oral class and concluded that teacher tau【had a crucial effect upon the participation ratio and the motivation of the students in the classes.Accordingly,the study offered suggestion that only if appropriate te
