亟堡堡．三奎堂婴主堂垡笙壅ABSTRACT 亟堡堡．三奎堂婴主堂垡笙壅 ABSTRACT The theory on structural damping have had the following theories friction damping theory，viscoce damping theory，hysteretic damping thoery．Each of these has respective character．In the paper，according to the theoretical analysiS，the effect of structural random damping on the displacement of the frame structure iS calculated by a developed program and the research on seismic response of sliding seismiC i solat ion structure i S performed． 1)The history of structural damping iS summarized，each damping theory and its present research status in the world are introduced particularly，the problems during the present research are put forward，the significance Oh the research iS discussed，the research contents and technical route in the paper are established． 2)Each factor that has effected on the structural damping iS analyzed．The authentic measured data from the factual structures and mathematie method is applied，and the effect of different measruring method on structural damping iS also discussed． 3)The calculation formula that iS applied to finding the effect of structural random damping’S variation on the structual displacement when structure undergoes wind and earthquake iS turned into the full matriX formula．and the calculation’S idea and procedure are simplifized well．A program is developed with Matlab computer language and applied to calculating displacement、velocity and acceleration’S variation of a ten—floor frame structure building undergoing wind and earthquake．As a result，we can get the CORClUSion：the in—between floors on a multi-floor frame structure undergoing earthquake is extremely sensitive to structural random damping’S variation： 4)Some research about friction damping iS put forward：basiC principte、history and function about seismiC isolation iS introduced briefly： 5)For the two friction force modelS．that iS Coulomb friction force seismiC isolation modelS(regarding conformation damping and rigidity between si
