中國圖書館學會會報 第 73 期(2004), 頁 125-136 BIBLID 0758-1876(2004)73 p.125-136 SWOT 分析術在圖書館的應用 SWOT Analysis Technique for the Library 陳冠年 Kuan-nien Chen 高雄醫學大學圖書館副館長 Deputy Head Librarian Kaohsiung Medical University 【摘要 Abstract 】 SWOT 分析法在企業管理領域之外亦被廣為利用，主要因為其對於迅速描述狀況和引導問 題、解決方案等方面，是一個頗為有效的工具。此外，它也是一個易學易懂易用技術，可以用 來處理複雜多變的事務。在圖書館界雖不乏 SWOT 方法應用的實例，但其應用的面向、廣度以 及研究深度皆顯得不足，往往將思維侷限在一紙分析表單，而未窺得全豹。本文首先仔細介紹 SWOT 分析法的理念和用法，次及其在於圖書館組織管理方面的可能應用情況，兼顧概念解說 和實務價值的探討，提供啟發性的建議，並構造一件 SWOT 分析模式，期有助於館方運作之參 考。 SWOT analysis technique is used widely in various fields not only because the technique is easy to be learned, realized, and utilized but also because it is a very useful research tool for the purposes of describing the situation and leading to the problem solution. For library management, SWOT analysis technique is frequently used but rarely studied. This article first introduces the con- cepts and utilizations of SWOT analysis and then applies them to some of the library practices as well as develops a simple SWOT analysis model for library use.
