My Favourite Female Poet;Do you know some women who were famous in ancient China? Why do her impress you a lot ?; Today, I want to talk about a female poet. We call her Cai Wenji. Her name is Yan but we don’t know her birth or death. She was in Eastern Han Dynasty, the dynasty before the period of the Three Kingdoms. Wenji was very talented in literature and music when she was very young. Her father was a very famous writer and calligrapher at that time.;The statue;Cai Wenji got married. Unluckily, her husband died the next year.;Then, because of Dong Zhuo ,the world was very chaotic and dangerous. Many women were caught and taken to Xiongnu. Cai Wenji was one of it . She was married to a leader called Zuoxianwang for twelve years. She had to adapt to this kind of life. She learnt a musical instrument called Hujia and some different languages . She also had two children.;Wenji’s father is Cao Cao’ friend and teacher. So ,Cao Cao used some gold and jewels to redeem Wenji. She could come back to her hometown. She was happy but sad because she had to leave her children.;Then, Cai Wenji married another man called Dong Si. They didn’t get well until a thing. Dong Si made some mistakes and would be killed by Cao Cao. Wenji pleaded with Cao Cao to release him. Luckily, she succeeded. ;Cai Wenji’s life was legendary. As a poet, Wenji had some poems. The most famous two of them were called Hujiashibapai and Beifenshi. If you are interesting in it ,you can read it on the Internet.
