Unit6 I’m going to study computer science. 一、Teaching aims 1).Language goals A. Words expressions :engineer,pilot, computer programmer... B. Key sentences: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be ... 2).Ability goals Enable the students to understand and use future intensions. 3)Emotion goals Enable the students to understand life and have their own life goals. Let the students have positive attitude to make their dreams come true. 二、Teaching key and difficult points 1).Teaching Key Points Remember the words about job and the usage of future intensions 2).Teaching Difficulties Train the Ss to use future intensions with” be going to” correctly. and How to make coversations and act them out. 三、The teaching methods Communicative teaching method and Task-based teaching method and Trying method. 四、Teaching Procedures Step1 Greetings and lead- in First let students listen to a beautiful song and guss:Who is singing?What does he do?Then I will ask some students to act other jobs and let other students guess the job titles.(student,teacher,actor,runner,basketball player.…) Step 2 Presentation. 1.Use PPT to present new words and the sentences. want to be a\an…?( 我打算成为……?) 2.Other jobs?(Present the new words with the related pictures.) comuter programmer, engineer,pilot, scientist... 3. Challenge yourself. Let Ss remember the words in 1a in two minutes.Then let them say jobs as many as they can. 4.Let Ss talk about the jobs in 1a and discuss the questions:Which job do you think is the most interesting ? Which job is the least interesting? 5.Practice the sentences with the pictures.(What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be..?) 6. Lead out :How are you going to do that?(Show Ss an example) Step3 Listening Practice(1a, 1b: ) 1. Tell the Ss to read the words of the jobs in the chart.make sure they know the meaning of the words and the sentences. 2. Play the recording for the first time and fill in the blanks.( verb phrases) 3. Play the recording again
