Period 1 Reading Maybe you should learn to relax! 一、教学目标 (1) 掌握并会运用下列单词和词组。 football, until, not until, fit , fit…into , as much as possible, pressure, complain, complain about, include, pushy, send, all kinds of, compare, compare with, crazy, themselves , by themselves, adult, on the one hand, on the other hand, organized. (2) 掌握下列重点句型。 The tired children don’t get home until 7 p.m. Doctors say many children are under too much pressure. Mothers send their kids to all kinds of classes when they are very young. They are always comparing them with other children. They might find it difficult to plan things for themselves. They do it by themselves. 二、教学重点和难点 (1)巩固本单元目标语言,结合日常生活提建议,解决生活中的实际困难。 (2) 培养学生的阅读技巧和写作能力。 三、教学工具 录音机 四、教学过程 Step 1. Warming-up 1.T: What do you usually do at home?/at school ? / After school? What after-school activities can you think of? .Get the Ss to list after-school activities which are available for them . 2.T: What things do you do after school? How much time do you spend on each thing? Activities Time music lessons computer lessons 设计目的:小组活动为下面的活动作准备。 Step 2. Before reading Work on1a. Pay attention the meanings of each word. Tell the Ss to choose the correct meaning of each word according to the situation.
