To master the usage of words and phrases of the article.

By learning the article,the Ss’can use the spirit of climbers and know a saying Nothing is difficult ,if you put your heart into it.

Teaching Procedure
Step1.Free talk and lead in
T:I like sports.Do you like sports?
What sport do you like?
What sport do you think is the most dangerous sports?(Mountain climbing).It is one of the world’s most dangerous sports.
For mountain climbing,where is one of the most popular places.(The Himalayas ).
Where are the Himalayas ?(It run along the southeast part of China.)The Himalayas include many mountains.Of all the mountains,Qomolangma rises highest and is the most famous.
How high is it?(8,844.43 meters high).It is dangerous to climb.
Purpose :1.To lead in the title of the article.
2.To learn the red words and phrases .
3.To get some facts of Himalayas and Qomolangma.
Step 2.Pre-reading
1.Tell the students people like to climb Qomolangma .There are many dangers in mountain climbing.
2.Ask the students to enjoy the beautiful scenes of Qomolangma to answer a question:What might be the dangers of mountain climbing.( thick clouds
