The science of physical distribution has been one of the most influential new sciences. The object of logistics is to satisfy the requirements of consumers with least cost. As an especial and integrates activity of logistics, delivery brings into play more and more important effect in the modern society along with network age coming. For the corporations of logistics, vehicle scheduling problem is the key part of modern logistics system. How to institute the plan of distribution and choose the distribution route are the most difficult problems in the distribution activities. A scientific and reasonable method to vehicle scheduling, which will take great effect on the efficiency, cost and benefit, is an important operation in logistics distribution. The main idea of thesis is studying how to optimize the route of ration. By analyzing the existing study, and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of delivery route optimization algorithms, the paper builds up delivery route optimization model which is based on the ant colony algorithm. Firstly, The thesis discusses the basic problem about logistic distribution and the relative research works. The main research aim and research topics are also introduced; Secondly, it describes the logistic distribution problem, and build the mathematical delivery route optimization model. After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of delivery route optimization algorithms, the index system of selecting algorithms is established.
