Can you guess? Write the answer on the blackboard. Put the pencil-box on the teacher’s desk and ask: Is there a pencil-box on the teacher’s desk? Write the answer on the blackboard. Step2 Presentation Put a pencil-box behind one box and ask: Is there a pencil-box behind the box ? Present “behind ” Ss can easily get the meaning. Teach the words “between, under and in front of” in the similar way. Step3 Learn to say Ss open their textbooks on page 28 . They are asked to cover the sentences below the pictures and rewrite the Answer: There’s a pencil-box in it . S1:Is there a …in the pencil-box? Yes , there is . Guess the meanings of some key words. Practise writing sentences using Prep. according to the pictures. 。 sentences and then check whether they are right or not . Step4 Presentation Show several pictures and teach “bird, flower, lake, tree, climb, swim, pick, feed.” For example: Show a picture of a bird: What’s this? Is there a bird in the picture? How many birds are there in the picture? Show another picture and say: What is he doing? He is feeding the birds. Add a circle to the bird, and say: Oh, don’t feed the birds. Then read them together and make sure students can pronounce them correctly. Step 5 Listen, write and number Before the Ss listen to the tape, get them to write the meanings of these signs. For the first time play the tape and get the Ss to listen and number the pictures . Play the tape once again and fill in the blanks . Finally check the answers. Step 6 Te
