11 11 Abstract As the core content in the high school mathematics ，the function takes up an important position in the domain of the mathematics.ηle function concept is more abs仕act difficult in were comprehend by the student. When thes阳dent enter into high middle school，the content become abstract and difficult ，so there exist widespread problems in the function concept teaching. The research wil1 explore the way of the learning of 臼nction through three facts: 白白re were some educators in our countory who introduced the APOS theory to the middle school educational reform and obtained the certain effect in enhancing the teaching achievemen t. This article wi1l prove it is efficient to instruct the teaching for students 臼11 scale development with the APOS theory . 咀le writer takes the stand of cognition to explore the process of the psychology of the studying of the function concept to find some useful things for the teaching of the function concept. The research inc1ude two aspects: The first will introduct the theory of the cognition ，the theory of the APOS.The second through the questionaire，interview and other series to look into the studying of the students. Based on the importance and complexíty of function，the paper begíns with the investigation of the function studying of the senior middle school students，the author designed questionnaires ，study thecommon mistakes in the function leaming. Regarding this and did related factoranalysis. So we can find out som problems in the teaching of the function concept and we can put forward som suggestions.
