* Healthcare workers should avid contact with blood and body fluids from all patients. Poor handwashing increases the risk of transmitting infection from patients to healthcare workers and to other patients. So, to conclude, it is likely we can all improve in this area. * Masks should be worn when suctioning an intubated patient, when a patient has a productive cough or when a coughing procedure is being done to collect sputum, such as a sputum induction. Most masks are single-use and should not be re-used. Disposable masks should be discarded after use. In most situations in which a mask, gown and gloves are used together, the gown should be removed first, then the gloves, and then the mask. Remember that if gloves are soiled then they should be removed first and a clean pair put on if exposed hands may get soiled while removing the other barriers.
