金融发展与创新:来自中国的证据与解 释 张杰高德步 中国人民大学中国经济改革与发展研究院 摘要： 金融发展如何影响创新，已经成为关系屮国经济可持续发展的重要研究命题。在 选用研发投入和专利存量这两种普遍采用的创新代理指标基础上，全景式地检 验金融发展的规模、效率以及金融市场化这三者对创新的作用效应。主要发现是: 金融发展的规模扩张对外部融资依赖行业的研发投入、发明专利和实用新型专利 存量产生了一定程度的促进效应;金融发展的效率提升对外部融资依赖行业的研 发投入、发明专利和实用新型专利存量并未产生显著作用，只对外观设计专利存 量造成促进效应;金融市场化对外部融资依赖行业的研发投入、发明专利和实用 新型专利存量产生了抑制效应，特别是信贷资金分配的市场化对研发投入、发明 专利和实用新型专利存量产牛了显著抑制效应。这些经验事实说明，中国当前的 金融体系并未对创新形成有效的支撑和激励作用，相反，信贷市场竞争的加剧 对创新起到了一定程度的阻碍作用。由此为中国金融体系实施全面改革的方向提 供了有价值的政策参考依据。 关键词： 金融发展;创新;研发投入;专利存量;行业外部融资依赖程度; 作者简介：张杰（1972—）,男，江苏兴化人，经济学博士，中国人民大学中国 经济改革与发展研究院教授、博士生导师，研究方向为产业经济学、国际经济学 和金融发展学的交叉领域； 作者简介：高德步（1955—）,男，辽宁辽阳人，经济学博士，中国人民大学中 国经济改革与发展研究院教授、博丄?牛导师，研究方向为经济思想史与中国经济 问题。 收稿日期:2016-12-03 基金：教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地重大项目（15JJD790035） Financial development and innovation:evidence and interpretation from China ZHANG Jie GAO Debu Institute of Chinos Economic Reform Development, Renmin University of China; Abstract： Tt has become a vital research proposition related to the sustainabil ity of Chinese economic development that how financial development affects innovation. Based on research and development ( RD) investment and patent stock as the proxy variables for innovation which are widely-used, this paper comprehensively investigates the effects of the scale, efficiency and 1iberalization of financial development on innovation. The main findings are as follows: ( 1) The scale expansion of financial development has a ccrtain degree of promotion effect on RD investment, the stock of invention patents and utility models patents in the industries of external financial dependence; ( 2) The efficiency promotion of financial development does not show significant effect on RD investment, the stock of irmovation patents and utility models patents in the industries of external financial dependence, but has remarkable promoting effect on the stock of design patent in these industries; ( 3) The financial liberalization, especially the distribution, shows inhibitory irmovation patents and utility external fina
